Abstract
Various eye movement registration techniques are compiled and the necessity to calibrate the accuracy of the instruments is pointed out. Collection and analysis of data as well as possibilities of application and research are described. Some results concerning search and scan patterns in connection with various traffic situations, physiological data, experience, fatigue, night driving, and influence of alcohol are mentioned.
