Abstract

In traffic and transport studies which made use of mathematical models, traffic networks are used which form an abstraction of a selected part of the infrastructure. The networks are used to determine the journey times and journey distances between origins and destinations. In this report the aim, the way of research and the results of speed and waiting time measurement of road sections in Amsterdam are given. These results are used for reliable input data for the traffic and transport networks used in Amsterdam.
