Abstract

A research was set up to the safety of a road for crossing pedestrians. Therefore a mathematical model was developed to determine the chance on a collision between a non-attentive crossing pedestrian and a car. This article shows the results of a study in which for 6 streets in Eindhoven the results of the model are compared with the number of accidents, which have happened there.
