Abstract

In the Dutch Noise Abatement Act standards are given for traffic noise levels. To see whether or not these levels are met, two calculation methods are prescribed. One method is for simple situations, the other for more complex situations where building blocks are present. In this report a computer model is presented based on the second method. There are some slight differences between the legally prescribed method and the computer model presented here, mainly because the computer model is developed to compare different building lay- outs.
