Abstract

The average waiting time of passengers at halts is an indication for the quality of the service executed. The quality of a frequent service is maximum if the deviation of regularity is zero. In that case the average waiting time of the passenger is the half of the time table interval time. This paper tells how to calculate the average waiting time by using the terms "time table interval time" and "proportional regularity deviation".
