Abstract

The lack of knowledge on the relation between vehicle handling and accident avoidance, is a main problem in improving active safety. There is a need for a "black box"which records a.o. steering wheel angle; brake fluid pressure, vehicle speed, acceleration, throttle and gear level positions. It would be sufficient to limit the storage time to 30 seconds.
