Abstract

To examine the relationship between drivers drowsiness and there eyelid movements in real car environments, the rating scale value at the drowsiness level and the feature quantities of the eyelid movements were obtained from the facial image while driving the test track that simulated an expressway. A significant difference was found by the significance level of 0.1% in the feature quantities classified by the drowsiness level. Therefore the possibility to distinguish the drowsiness level by using the feature quantities based on the real car experiment was suggested.
