Abstract

As part of the work of the Committee for the Study of Geometric Design Standards for Highway improvements, safety experts reviewed relationships between safety and the following highway features: curvature; sight distance; lane and shoulder width; bridge width; intersections; pavement edge drop; and pavement resurfacing.
