Abstract

Contact pressure is important to the design engineer because it determines the intensity of loading. However, it is not as easily monitored as tyre inflation pressure. Therefore, a study was made of the relationship between tyre inflation pressure and tyre contact pressure. The results of this study are presented and discussed.
