Abstract

Crash test conducted after theoretical studies confirmed that the efficiency of a safety belt system may be improved by influencing the deformation characteristics of the vehicle front-end. It was possible to quickly overcome belt slack, to obtain a small relatively velocity between occupant and vehicle up to the point of increase of forces.
