The relative conspicuities of flashing light by a comparison method.

Abstract

The possibility of classifying flashing lights of various characteristics in order of conspicuity or attention attracting value was explored. Primarily is shown how the experimental results are converted into a psychometric scale of conspicuity, and to outline some of the practical precautions which should be taken in order to achieve the best results.
