Abstract

Relocation problems involved in urban renewal and in urban highway programs are discussed. The effect of relocation on the citizen greatly depends on his status in life: his income, the kind of job he has, and his ego strength. For families with middle to upper incomes, relocation is more a chore than a problem. All displacement programs must have a concern for the overall community impact of the programs.
