Abstract

The aim of the present study was to assess the residual effects of lormetazepam 1 and 2 mg in soft gelatine capsules on driving performance and to compare these effects to those of another benzodiazepine hypnotic, flurazepam (Dalmadorm ) in 30 mg dosage and placebo. Flurazepam significantly impaired the subjects' ability to control the vehicle's lateral position.Lormetazepam I caused no elevation in the standard deviation position. Lormetazopam 2 impaired driving performance to some extent the next morning
