Abstract

The advantages and disadvantages of three ways of replacing reflectorized traffic signs are examined. (1) replacement according to the date on the quality seal, (2) recording of traffic signs using a card or data processing system, and (3) measurement of light values. It is concluded that replacement should be carried out as follows: standard traffic signs at regular intervals according to the date on the quality seal; large traffic signs (route signs) using a card index system.
