Abstract

This report has been prepared as a consequence of a government decision to monitor the performance of the evidential breath testing instruments introduced under the transport act 1981. The first part contains a brief summary of the results and conclusions and is intended for the non-scientist. The second part (appendix) contains more scientific detail and is intended for those with a knowledge of the subject. The report is based on an examination of a total of 41565 cases.
