Abstract

In order to get an impression of the representativeness of precipitation measurements with only one rain gauge for the mean over a certain small surface, 15 rain gauges were exposed. The data obtained from uninterrupted rainfalls analysed. Details are given about the exposure. Also some definitions on representativeness. The question how for there are systematic differences between the 15 points (both for the complete data and those divided according to a number of four sectors of wind directions) is answered
