Abstract

An information leaflet was devised during the course of an experiment in the generation of passenger traffic in an existing bus network. The requirements to be met by the leaflet were investigated and are set out in detail in the report. the ways in which these requirements dictated the design of the leaflet are discussed and a copy of the final design is included at the back of this report. production costs of the leaflet are quoted and the successful methods adopted for distribution are described. Following the distribution of the leaflets, a survey of a sample of recipients was made in order to assess the comprehensibility of various features incorporated in the leaflet. The numerical and statistical results of the survey are given in detail, and conclusions are drawn on the comprehensibility of the various features that figured in the leaflets. (Author/publisher)
