Abstract

The activities of the Danish Road Institute are based on research and development, control of roads and materials, and consultancy. The main issues for the Institute in the future are the dissemination of knowledge, research into road materials, control and testing of road conditions, accessibility to the Institute, and cooperation and partnerships with national organisations. The activities of the Institute in 2003 are discussed with reference to perpetual pavements (long-life pavements), asset management, total reuse of the road, and research and development. A list is included of projects and contact details.
