Abstract

The incompleteness of the data on alcohol and accidents and the lack of any Australian estimate of the relative risk of crash involvement for intoxicated drivers is discussed. It is show how the current emphasis on identification and control of the drinking-driver has tended to observe the possibilities for intervention in other areas.
