Abstract

This country report presents the historical context for capacity research and applications in Poland, calibrated by Polish methods. The report aims to review the state-of-the-art in the field of capacity and traffic conditions, evaluation of two lane and multilane highways, unsignalised and signalised intersection, i.e., areas in which extensive studies have been conducted in Poland. Some current research results of capacity studies, state of the software development and future directions for research are presented too. The report provides names of currently active individuals and research groups and basic references in the field of highway capacity. (A)
