Abstract

The safety of cycle traffic in Hungary; questions in connection with increasing the safety of cycle traffic; preliminaries of cycle track construction programme in Hungary; experiences in connection with the traffic and safety of existing cycle tracks; traffic volume and safety criteria in the realisation of bicycle facilities and a survey to assess the effectiveness of cycle tracks in Hungary, are presented.
