Abstract

This paper deals with the results of a study into factors influencing car mobility and other related transport variables of the Dutch population. Results indicate a.o.:. / fuel prices hardly influence mobility, the growing reduction in fuel consumption of the car population is mainly due to manufacturers introducing more fuel efficient vehicles; personal net income is the most important variable influencing the mobility (expressed in kilometreage) of car drivers.
