Abstract

Reporting on 111 fatal accidents in Washtenaw County, Michigan. The researchers said that in their study 84 percent of the accidents were non-intersectional collisions with the majority (60 percent) of accidents being single oar, off-road collisions. In one of five accidents (18 percent) a vehicle invaded the roadway of another by crossing the center line or median, or traveled in the wrong lane on an expresway.
