Abstract

Reservoir pavements have been developed in France some 15 years ago in the Bordeaux Area by the French Road Department. Entreprise Jean Lefebvre has taken part in this development by constructing in 1988 parking areas in the towns of Ambares and Villeneuve in Gironde. In 1991, with the incentive given by the Lyonnaise des Eaux-Dumez Group, Jean Lefebvre set about studying those particular pavement structures which have numerous and interesting functions. In this paper, design considerations, which include allowing for hydraulic design factors, are briefly presented. The German title of this article is: Dränungsfahrbahnen.
