A residential land use prediction model for transportation planning.

Abstract

The formulation of a residential land use model used in transportation planning is described. The model relies conceptually on the intervening opportunities model and allows choice of location to be simulated through a variable probability density function. The results of actual data analysis are presented and the suitability of the model in the light of the results is discussed.
