Abstract

This research investigates the properties of two asphalt paving mixes used in Manitoba. The aim of the research is to characterize the relationship between material properties and strength parameters measured in the laboratory. This information will be used to determine the layer coefficient and resilient modulus of the two paving mixtures, Bit B and Bit C. Experience gained in this area will be used to compare the relative performance and aid in the selection of a suitable mix design.
