Abstract

This paper deals with the results of a number of traffic forecasts for the year 2010, using different car ownership figures. The consequences of these different developments in car ownership are quantified in terms of peak hour traffic performance and mode choice. The results of the calculations show-that an increase in car ownership above all influences mode choice and to a far less extend car kilometre age.
