Abstract
This paper will explore the issues confronting the elderly in Southeast Michigan, presents the components of the Traffic Improvement Association (TIA) workshops for the retraining of the mature drivers and critically review the independent evaluations of the workshops. The workshop is designed to help the 55+ part of the driving population self-evaluate their driving skills and improve driving strategies.
