Abstract

A recent analysis conducted by the European Transport Safety Council identified that no single accident database could meet all of the needs and that there were major gaps including in-depth accident and injury causation. This document is a methodology development report detailing the task of setting up an accident causation data collection routine. This document details the progress of the task of setting up the accident causation data collection routine across the six EU partner countries. The report describes the outcome from the pilot phase of the project to give an up to date explanation of any changes from the original scope of the work as previously described in D5.2.
