Abstract

Much research has been undertaken into the concept of restraining vehicle occupants. However, despite this research there remains many aspects of restraint design which are imperfect. While the effectiveness of standards and design rules is clearly established, this paper focuses some light onto the incompatibility that exists between child restraints and seat belts and motor vehicles.
