Abstract

The Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management has formulated a two year programme for telematics in the transport sector. The projects and activities that follow from the policy are aimed both at achieving the policy goals of the ministry and at fulfilling the requirements of the transport sector. Telematics policy is an integrated part of the general policy in this field as laid down in the Second Transport Structure Scheme. In this paper telematics policy is evaluated and some conclusions are formulated for future policy making.
