Abstract

This article summarizes the contents of a 5 volume report on the results of this program. 4500 clinical investigations of highway accidents were conducted, edited and processed into a common data base. The file consists of over 800 variables derived from the collision performance and injury reports, plus certain pre-collision data elements. Both NHTSA and MVMA member companies have direct access to the data base.
