Abstract

The review is basically a literature survey and is concerned with ways in which changes in the physical environment can be controlled or brought about to reduce road accidents. The study is divided into three sections covering the planning of new development, the organisation of traffic in existing areas, and physical changes to existing development. Various town planning measures in reducing road accidents are summarized.
