Abstract

This report has been prepared to assist in establishing the reduction in accidents, injuries and fatalities which might be expected in Australia from the installation of certain types of traffic control devices, appropriate to the circumstances in urban and non-urban traffic situations, A major part of the report is concerned with the effectiveness of these devices, namely the reduction in the number of accidents of specific severity or type to be expected following the installation of a device.
