Abstract

The report suggests the following values for time savings, used in cost- benefit analyses, in 1984 prices:- Working time £ 5.62 /hour- non- working time £ 1.06 /hour. These values are 15% and 10% larger than those currently in use. It is recommended that research be undertaken so as to value non- working time under "commuting to work" and "leisure travel" headings.
