The rhodopsin content and the visual threshold of human rods.

Abstract

The bleaching of rhodopsin by know light energies, and the course of its regeneration in the dark were measured in the living human eye by retinal densitometry. It is concluded that the pigment level at any time after any known bleach can be predicted.
