Abstract

This report presents both the extensions of and changes in the Dutch 1984 non-motorway signalization requirements. Important additions are the local signalization and road diversion chapters. The new requirements have been brought into conformity with the revised Traffic Regulations and Road Traffic Signs Code (RVV 1990). The signalization along roads within and outside built-up areas is distinguished. One of the starting points is that the uniform signalization system for roads within and outside built-up areas should link up with the signalization system applied to motorways. The non-motorway signalization requirements form together with the designation policy and with the motorway signalization specifications the new Dutch signalization requirements.
