In diesem Beitrag werden offizielle Unfalldaten des Bundeslandes Nordrhein-Westfalen und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland analysiert. Diese Daten zeigen eine bemerkenswert erhöhte Unfallverwicklung sehr leistungsstarker Motorräder. Ausserdem wurde eine Befragung von Motorradfahrern durchgeführt. Es wurde ein Fragebogen verwendet, der Angaben zum Motorrad, zum Fahrverhalten und zu Motorradunfällen erfasste. Bei Motorradfahrern mit einem sportlichen Fahrstil steigt die Häufigkeit der Unfallverwicklung mit der Leistung des Fahrzeugs. Dies ist bei Motorradfahrern mit einem nicht sportlichen Fahrstil nicht gegeben. Ausserdem konnte diese Beziehung auch nicht bei Kollisionsunfällen festgestellt werden. English abstract: In this paper official accident data of motorcycle accident in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and in the Federal Republic of Germany are examined. These accident data show a markedly higher accident involvement for very powerful motorcycles. The second study was a survey of motorcycle riders. A questionnaire was used which included reports on the motorcycle, on riding behaviour and on motorcycle accidents. Among riders with a sporting riding style the frequency of single-vehicle accidents increased as a function of engine power. This is not the case in riders with a non-sporting riding style and these relations also do not hold for collision accidents. (A)
