Right of way to bus at signalised intersections- application to the city of Nice.

The great development of passenger car use in town is a problem which is particularly acute in French cities. The only solution is to give a growing importance to Mass Transit. In order to increase bus utilization, a number of measures can be taken such as providing segregated lanes and setting up devices giving the right of way at traffic lights. One of these devices the Busmatic device is presented and the way the device works is outlined.
