Abstract
The traffic regulations for course holding and lane changing are dated from the time that these roads were constructed with two traffic lanes. Since more traffic lanes are constructed now these regulations should be considered. A literature review is made and observations of traffic behaviour were done. Thereafter the American keep- your- lane is studied for an eventual alternative. It is concluded to modify the traffic regulations in such a way that keeping the right side of the road as much as possible will not be mandatory.
