Abstract

Risk-analysis can be described as the handling of analysis techniques for the quantification of risks. Risk analysis can be aggregated to the risks for an individual, a group, or on society in its totality. Risk-analysis can be referred to the risks which are inherent in the given situation, as well as the risks which result from certain activities, measures or projects. An important application of risk analysis is policy planning, which has the aim of forecasting the relevant consequences of such activities, measures or projects. In road traffic the lack of safety is equated with risk. In this booklet risk analysis is applied to road traffic.
