Abstract

A number of studies have been carried out at TRRL recently to evaluate the effects of the 1983 changes to the drink /drive laws. This chapter draws together several lines of research, in assessing the scope for reducing road accident fatalities, either through moderating drinking behaviour, or by persuading drivers to walk when making social trips involving drinking.
