Abstract

The risk taking behavior and information seeking behavior of drivers when approaching and driving through a gap were studied in field experiments with an instrumented vehicle. Eye movements and temporal looking activities, as well as secondary task were used to investigate the information seeking activities. The effects of gap size, vehicle speed, and reward conditions were examined.
