Abstract

In The Netherlands not much research has been done to find out the path of the actual trip generation within the public transport systems in middle- large cities. The issue of this paper is the gathering of empiric figures (for instance the number of trips per inhabitant) to improve forecasting for busline diversions and extensions (if still granted) of the networks in city- areas and city=- regions. This paper presents new figures of the Delft bus system, divided into four levels: modal split level and city- , living quarter- and stoppingplace- level.
