Abstract

As well as counting and interviewing passengers, transport companies also measure journey times. Journey times are the time needed to drive a certain traject, all delays included. Using these journey times measurement, these delays can be noted and analysed. This measurement of journey times in public transport is studied and its value as a signalling and analyzing instrument for public transport flow is assessed. The method used for the measurement is discussed.
