Abstract

Detailed classifications on Irish roads reported in 1984 are given. Some comment is also given on the interpretation of the classifications. Persons killed were 465 which was the lowest figure for any years since 1969. There were 8210 persons reported injured, many seriously. At least 930 of them will have permanent disability.
