Abstract

This book discusses the role of the law in England and Wales in preventing road accidents and the minimizing hardship to the victims. Part 1 considers the extent to which the law is effective in forbidding certain acts and in punishing those that commit them. Part 2 discusses questions of compensation in money for victims of traffic accidents for damage to their property and for personal suffering.
