Abstract

Totals of accidents, casualties and vehicles involved in road accidents reported for 1979 in Great Britain are presented. In 1979 355.000 people were killed or reported injured in road accidents in Britain, 4% fewer than in 1978, although motor traffic has increased by ½% Deaths were fewer by 7%, serious injured by 2% and slight injured by 5%.
