Abstract
This article updates the earlier figures and describes the more significant developments of the decade 1996-2005. Note that British national accident reporting system is reviewed every 5 or 6 years and minor changes are made, but these should not affect the data reported here. The following definitions of casualty severity have been used since the system was established in 1949. (Author/publisher).
