Abstract
A calender of events affecting road safety and traffic from 1903 to 1987 is presented, followed by a list of review topics from 1951- 1986. The review of road traffic accidents in 1987 contains section on: publicity; drinking and driving; accident costs (including historic costs); pedestrian casualties; comparison with other European community countries; motor insurance claims; road casualties 1870- 1910; best and worst days for accidents; relative safety of motorways; and casualty rates by age and sex.
